Praying

…for all surrounded by the Boston tragedy.

…for so many battling a cancer diagnosis.

…for wounded relationships.

…for spring to arrive and stick around!

…for those with financial struggles.

…for authentic lovingkindness.

Do you have something to pray for specifically this week?
What’s on your heart today?

Praying for you today!

And praying everyone has healthy, cough-free homes : )

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

not just Easter

20130314-112759.jpg

I’ve been having tons of fun the past several weeks secretly gathering little treats for my kids. Little special somethings to arrange in a family Easter basket. And while we don’t go hog wild with the “stuff” – it’s still fun to celebrate in creative ways.

Yes, I want them to get excited and remember the little things that make up our family moments. But what I really want them to get excited about this Easter?…the Bible that will be in the basket this year. The big empty egg. The thought that we get to go to church and celebrate the risen Christ. The overwhelming feeling that they’re loved, by their parents who desired them beyond what words convey, and most importantly by the King of kings. Loved by this One:

Christ (who) suffered for you.
“He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth.”

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you {we} have been healed.

1 Peter 2:21-24

Not just Easter. I want them to grasp this love more and more, each day-month-year they grow older and wiser.

That my children know that love, live that love, share that love.
Beyond exciting.

Please take a sec to visit Jeannett over at Life Rearranged ~ so worth it, and we’d so want the same support for our own child, grandchild, niece/nephew, neighbor’s child, best friend’s child…

xoxo

p.s. see the post before this one?? Sweet Hannah is helping with donations! You can buy some of her jewelry and help out, too!!!

an all-consuming love

20130307-101815.jpg

cannot get this out of my head today!
God is so good!!

Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant through the trial and the change
One thing remains
One thing remains

Your love never fails
it never gives up
it never runs out on me (x3)

On and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never ever have to be afraid
One thing remains

In death and in life I’m confident and covered by the power of your great love
My debt is paid there’s nothing that can separate my heart from your great love
